Vote For Fervr in the Webby’s
Fervr is a website that I (and many others) write for. Quite frankly, I think it’s the best Christian youth website on the net. And we’ve been nominated for an award! The Webby Awards are a pretty big deal and we’ve been nominated for the People’s Choice Award for Religion and Spirituality Websites. Could you take a moment to head to the voting page and help us win? We need every vote we can get! Voting closes Thursday April 26th.
After the jump is the official press release from Fervr.
My Top Movies of 2010
Sometime around July last year, I got an email from my editor at Fervr. He’d managed to get the site added to several press lists for movie distributors. What this meant was that Fervr was now invited to special advanced screenings of movies, weeks before they are shown to the public. And I got first dibs on all the invitations. Joy! Now while I couldn’t make it to every movie I was invited to (or in one case even find the cinema it was being screened in) I did see a fair few movies last year. And because of these invitations, I was able to see some movies that ordinarily I may not have gone to.
Here are my top 5 movies for 2010. I remind you that I didn’t see everything, so there are some absences from this list that might surprise you. For instance, I haven’t seen Toy Story 3 yet. I own it on DVD but haven’t sat down to watch it yet.
The Fervr Fashion Guide
I’ve been excited about this for a long time. But I’ve been waiting until it’s official before saying anything.
Fervr have published my very first ebook!
The Fervr Fashion Guide is now available at the Fervr site.
Please head on over there and get your self a copy. All proceeds go towards supporting the great ministry of Fervr. I don’t see a cent.
I’ve now gone from blogger to ebook author. One step closer to my goal of having a print book I’ve written available for sale at Moore Books.
Fervr: My New Computer
When I got my new computer, I was in for an experience. I tell the story here in my latest video for Fervr.
Fervr: Final Crisis
There’s a new video review of mine up on Fervr. This one is for the comic series Final Crisis. A lot of people disliked this book, but I loved it a lot. Yeah, I’m a Morrison zombie.
Fervr: Burn In Hell
Last week I took a trip into Fervr HQ to film some video articles. It was a lot of fun and the first one is now up on the site. It’s a review of the card game Burn In Hell. Have a look. And while you’re there, have a look at the other great articles that Fervr is putting up.
KYCK 09: Warm Cairns to Freezing Katoomba
Fervr Presents KYCK 09
This weekend I’ll be up at KYCK, which is a huge conference for Christian teenagers. It’s always a great weekend to open up the Word of God with the teenagers at Church and experience what it’s like to share that joy with thousands of other teens.
For KYCK 09 I’ll be bringing along my video camera and doing some filming for Fervr. I’ll be interviewing some youth groups and getting a vibe for the weekend as a whole.
Is there anything you would like to see in the vodcast? I can’t make any promises, but I can do my best.
Fervr Presents Mission 09
