Something Positive

I read a lot of webcomics. And why not? They’re free after all. One of my favourites is a comic called Something Positive. This strip is witty, well drawn, and very, very not PC. If you even the slightest bit offended by almost anything, then do not read Something Positive.

But if it’s so offensive, why do I read it? I’ve come to love the characters as they’ve grown over the years. The art style has improved over that time as well. And one of the recurring themes in Something Positiveis Christianity. Davan, the main character, comes from a Christian family. He has chosen not to follow the faith, but still interacts with it. The strip particularly calls out Christian hypocrisy. It was because of SP that I first heard of Hell Houses. That’s a post all on it’s own.

Today’s comic has me interested. Davan receives a letter inviting him back to the Church he grew up in. I’m interested to see where this is going. I’m not sure if it’s the start of a new story line or not. Could be good.
