My take on the situation:

From heavy metal to death metal, I listen to a variety of secular and christian related music. I believe however that modern conservative christians find if the lyrics are unwholesome, the music itself is "the devil", whereas most listeners like myself enjoy the fast paced, invigorating music such as "the black dahlia murder", if the listener grows hostile in reaction to the music then in no doubt should he be taken away from it. It's a hit and miss subject. But in my perspective, as long as you live and portray a God centered life, go right ahead. But if you are teetering on the edge I'd suggest seeing yourself from it since it's a gateway into a satanic world.

From what I can gather, not only from the article above, but some of the other commentary and their own work is that Kopimism is a 'parody' religion, similar to the parody religion of the flying spaghetti monster. It is light hearted, and maybe mildly thought provoking. Kopimism is really the offshoot of a larger movement; the free culture movement. Although this movement actually provides some thought provoking ideas, some of which Christians have taken on board (such as giving information freely, which some reformed Christians have done, such as John Piper releasing some of his books for free.)

That being said, piracy and worshiping things God has made instead of God is sin, rejecting God's way for our own way.

Yes it is crude and direspectful and the humor isn't even that funny. It's was quite boring actually and I dispise the way angels and God are portrayed. God is a floating head and the angels are men with wings. Pathetic.

And why the hell is Jesus killing Archangel Michael? I don't care if the author apologised. He's still creating the comic and showing scenes like this. The Arch Angels are holy beings and it was Michael who defeated Satan and kicked him out of Heaven according to God's will. Archangels are servents of God but they deserve respect too.

I have no problem with the comic calling Jesus a seperate entity from God. That's not where the disrespect occurs as there are Christians who hold this view.

At times it's quite confusing too. I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Richard, I don't think that his choice is a good example of behaviour for a Christian. Keep in mind that "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful" (Psalm 1). Also many people just call themselves Christians for some reason but in fact they do the opposite to what Bible teaches us. Some things such people say are dangerous for faith of those who listen to them.
