I knew what I was getting into and was prepared.
I watched the first few episodes and have really lost interest. Race Relations doesn’t seem to have the same flair as his previous shows. I think a lot of this has to do with format. In Versus God and Musical Jamboree, there was usually 3 or 4 stories per episode with some reoccuring segments. The topical journalism was balanced with the zany antics. The antics were funny in and of themselves, but when combined with the bigger story, created something that was very thought provoking.
Race Relations on the other hand has basically one story for the entire episode. The antics are far more subdued. It feels like he’s trying to do serious journalism while still maintaining his “roots”. In doing so, I find that it just hasn’t grabbed my attention.
I may watch the crucifixion episode. I may not. From what I hear, it probably won’t grab my attention either.

I did find some of his antics quite funny and pointed though…what did you think?
